I'm Aisling. *waves* I am creative in many ways, though not an expert at much of anything yet. I feel like I should be by now! I used to write a great deal, but life took a turn and I lost my voice. I am trying to recover the ease of writing I used to possess, and reclaim the joy that it once brought me. In addition, I am learning to draw. I would like to draw well both realistically and in manga style eventually. I paint with acrylics. I enjoy various crafts. I am learning guitar, and hope to learn how to knit. I can crochet, but I'm still learning that too!
Anywhoo, I think the concept of this board is a wonderful one. I've found other places very intimidating and the criticism harsh. A place for us all to build our creative confidence is a breath of fresh air!
It's nice having another kindred spirit here. *hugs* I can relate to what you said about losing your voice in writing. For nearly 9 years I wrote almost every single day in the collaborative writing board I had. Now that it's over, I feel somewhat lost since I've never really written any real stories on my own. I keep hoping that after a little break I'll recover the happiness writing gave me.
I hope this place will inspire us and help feed the creative desire within that needs to be set free.
