Welcome to Creative Urges. Please take a few minutes (or several minutes) to look around. After you finish lurking, toss in a howdy here and tell us a little about yourself.
I'll start things off. I'm an older female with 2 daughters, 2 grandkids, and 1 wonderful husband. I adore animals and have a few roaming around my home. My online friends call me, Azzy.
My greatest love is writing, following by role-playing games. I haven't role played in several years but I ran, and was deeply involved in, an interactive story board on the net for 9 years. That was slightly reminiscent of role playing only on a grander scale. I took that board down for reasons I don't want to get into here.
I enjoy watching anime and have delved into learning how to draw in the anime style. I'm my own worst critic and that sometimes keeps me from sharing my work with others. The art-orientated websites I've visited seem to be filled with talented people who have been drawing and painting for years. That intimidated me since I'm a true beginner when it comes to drawing. I longed for a site where I could show off doodles or the faces/bodies I've worked on that aren't in proper proportion yet. That longing, coupled with reading Keri Smiths book, "Living Out Loud," led me to create these forums.
Some of my other interests include reading, web design, astronomy, astrology, and playing around with graphic programs like paint shop pro.
Okay, now you know a little about me. It's your turn now. Feel free to start a new topic here and then brag about yourself a little.

Somehow, this just has the feeling of sinking my feet into a swirling tub of hot water with bath salts. Just that "ahhh..." feeling. Oooh! Or of unbuttoning the jeans after Thanksgiving dinner, hehe. Oh so satisfying! I can't believe I never got over my withdrawal tremors for the other board.
Wait, yes I can. lol
This is an awesome idea, Azzy! You always were such the creative type. I only had a few outlets for creativity, but you were always exploring and pursuing other avenues and ideas that it was amazing. As always, thank you for being such a wonderful hostess!

Dee! *super tight hug* You can't image how happy I am to see you! It does feel nice to be part of a forum community again, doesn't it? I missed having a place like this to go to each day and check posts or jot down something when I wasn't busy working on the story. I'm slowly working on that other Active Board too so we'll have a place to write when the time is right. Love you, girl. Thanks for becoming a part of this new community.
PS: LOVE your avatar. *much giggling*
